Zehra Begüm Kışla is a curator and researcher based in Istanbul. Most recently, she served as the Associate Curator at the Institute of Arab and Islamic Art (IAIA) in New York, where she organized the exhibitions "Endless Night: Nabil Kanso" and "Six Landscapes: Daniele Genadry & Matt Saunders," as well as ran public programming and the bookstore featuring artists from the SWANA region. In 2022, she served as Cultural Program Assistant at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, contributing to the art festivals “Entrelacs” and “Croisements.” Between 2017 and 2019, she worked as an assistant to the Editor-in-Chief at ARTER, Istanbul. Notable exhibitions she curated include "Extended Structures" at the Hessel Museum of Art, Bard College, and "Works Under Maintenance," an exhibition from the Marieluise Hessel Collection. She received a B.A. in Sociology in 2019 from Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, and an M.A. in Curatorial Studies in 2023 from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College, New York.
