Toprak Fırat is a digital artist, researcher, and software developer.

He combines the analytical knowledge gained from his education in mathematics and computer engineering with his artistic practices, which he has pursued since a young age, to create works in animation, AR, VR, data art, generative art, and interactive art.

In 2023, he was accepted into Istanbul Modern's 'Young Productions in Digital Art' program, and at the end of the program, he received funding for his project 'Rastlantı'. ‘Rastlantı’ began to be exhibited in 2024 as part of the Timeless Curiosities exhibition at Istanbul Modern.

That same year, upon the invitation of Istanbul Municipality, he joined the Istanbul Design Museum, where he opened the museum's exhibition and workshop space to visitors.

In his works, the artist aims to reinterpret and document concepts that modern society has become alienated from, particularly in the post-internet era.

His VR work designed as an anti-experience, 'Oasis,' was showcased at Sonar+D. The concepts he explores include complex emotions that underline human experience, such as closeness, intimacy, awe, order, randomness and webs of connections. By creating experiences that evoke a sense of discomfort, he invites the audience to reconsider and reconnect with these concepts.
